Metal Fabrication of Z-angle Bracket for Commercial Truck Application

Through press brake bending, we fabricated this Z-angle bracket for a customer in the commercial truck manufacturing industry. Fuller Welding and Fabricators, Inc. built the special tooling required to create the specified twist at the end of the part. These 8.375" x 1.562" metal fabricated brackets were created from 0.120" thick hot rolled, pickled, and oiled steel sheets. Using CNC press brakes that were linked to our CAD/CAM department, we manufactured these Z-angle brackets while maintaining tolerances close to 0.010". After custom forming, the parts were zinc plated, packaged in cardboard boxes, and delivered to the specified location.

Product Description This is a "Z" angle metal fabricated bracket, we were asked to produce for the commercial truck industry. We had to produce special tooling in order to make the "twist" at the end of the part. We were able to design and laser cut tooling to achieve this. So far the tooling we made has stood up to over 10,000 parts.
